Floating reviews widget

A feature

A persistent Reviews tab on every page, opens when curious shoppers want a second opinion.

A shopper is two minutes into reading your product page, undecided. They’re not going to scroll to the reviews tab. They might scroll back to the top, click around, leave. Or they might notice the small Reviews tab pinned to the side of the page, click it, and watch a panel slide out with five recent reviews from real customers.

The floating widget is for that moment. Persistent. Out of the way until someone’s curious.

What you get

  • A pinned Reviews button on every page. Position configurable: right, left, bottom-right, or bottom-left.
  • Editable label. Default is “Reviews” but call it whatever fits your tone (“What customers say”, “Real reviews”, whatever).
  • Pulls reviews from across sources. Pick which to include: product reviews, testimonials, Google reviews, site reviews. The panel mixes them and shows the latest.
  • Minimum rating filter. Set the floor (4 stars by default) so the widget only shows reviews above the threshold. The shop curates the panel; the customer sees the strongest ones.
  • Configurable count. Between 3 and 50 reviews loaded into the panel.
  • Show on all pages, or pick specific pages to display it on (the rest get nothing).
  • Optional auto-open delay. Set it to zero and the panel waits for the customer to click. Set it to a few seconds and it opens itself, drawing attention.

Styled via Designer

The widget uses your Brand Hub colours, fonts, and shadow style: the same flat-offset shadows and brand palette your reviews page uses. No separate widget stylesheet to override, no jarring contrast between the panel and the rest of your site.

Why shops turn it on

The widget is the cheapest way to put your social proof in front of a shopper who didn’t go looking for it. Customers who’d scroll past the reviews tab notice the pinned label and click out of curiosity. Once it’s open, your strongest reviews do the work.

Trustie Pro extends the source pool the widget can pull from. Pro adds Trustpilot reviews (if you’re syndicating those), event reviews (Eventin or The Events Calendar), and the uncapped Google reviews path via the Business Profile API. The widget itself doesn’t change; the pool it has to choose from grows.
