Google reviews on your site

A feature

Pull your latest Google reviews onto your site and let them count toward your SEO. One API key, no plugin sprawl.

You’ve got a healthy stream of Google reviews. You’d like them on your site too, both because they’re good social proof and because they help search engines understand who you are.

Trustie connects to Google through the Places API. Drop in a Google Cloud API key and your Place ID, save, and your latest reviews flow into Trustie alongside your testimonials and (if you’re running WooCommerce) your product reviews.

What you get

  • Your Google reviews on the auto-generated reviews page, styled in your brand.
  • An aggregate Google rating that contributes to the overall rating shown on your site.
  • Rich-snippet schema in your page source so search engines can index the rating back to your domain.
  • Daily refresh so new reviews appear without intervention. You can also trigger a manual refresh after a fresh review lands.

Each review shows the reviewer’s name, star rating, review text, and date. Photos attached to reviews come through where Google exposes them.

A note on the Places API limit

The Places API caps responses at the five most recent reviews per location. That isn’t a Trustie design choice; it’s how the public Places API works. For a lot of shops, the latest five are exactly what you want anyway: fresh social proof, no stale reviews from years ago.

If your shop has a deeper history of Google reviews and you want the full set on your site, that’s a Trustie Pro feature. Pro adds the Business Profile API path, which uses Google OAuth instead of an API key and returns every review you have.

Why shops connect

Most shops that ask for “Google reviews on my website” really want one thing: the trust signal of the Google rating, on the page where someone is making the decision. The Places API path delivers that with the smallest possible setup. If the answer is “yes, I just want the latest reviews to show in my brand”, this is the path. If the answer evolves into “I want my whole review history visible too”, Trustie Pro is there for that step.
