Import what you already have

A feature

Existing reviews, existing testimonials, existing rating counts. Trustie picks them up; you stay in control.

You’ve already been running a WooCommerce shop for a few years. You’ve got product reviews. Maybe you’ve got a testimonials plugin. Maybe you’ve got WordPress comments from before WC even came along. The last thing you want is to install a reviews plugin and lose all of it.

Trustie reads from where your data already lives. No exports, no CSVs, no “import wizard” that takes you to a third-party SaaS dashboard. Native WordPress paths.

What you can import

Existing WooCommerce reviews. Already in wp_comments with comment_type = 'review'? Trustie picks them up the moment it activates. No import step needed for those.

Legacy WordPress comments. A “Convert Comments to Reviews” tool finds WordPress comments on your product pages that pre-date WC’s reviews system. One click and they’re upgraded into proper reviews with star ratings.

Per-product rating counts. WooCommerce caches each product’s review count and average in post meta. If those caches are stale (orders moved, reviews approved by another plugin, you’ve migrated databases), Trustie’s “Sync Product Ratings” tool recomputes them from the actual review data. Run it once after activation to make sure your product stars match reality.

Testimonials from other plugins. Trustie auto-detects Strong Testimonials, Easy Testimonials, Starter Templates, and Testimonial Rotator. For each, the meta-key shapes are pre-known, so it’s a one-click “Import 47 testimonials from Strong Testimonials” rather than a manual field-mapping exercise. Originals stay in place by default; you can choose to delete them after.

Why it’s a toggle you can turn off

Import Tools is a feature toggle in Trustie’s features list. The reason: once your data is in place, you don’t need the admin nav cluttered with import tools you’ll never use again. Toggle the feature off and the Tools tab disappears. Toggle it back on if you ever need it (a new staging site, a fresh import of a different CPT).

Why shops turn it on

The moment of friction in switching reviews plugins is usually “I’ll lose my reviews if I migrate.” Trustie’s import tools delete that friction. Your existing review data isn’t trapped in WooCommerce’s review-counting cache or in your old testimonials plugin’s CPT. It’s in WordPress, and Trustie reads from WordPress.

Why shops turn it on with Pro

Free covers WordPress comments, product ratings, and the four most common testimonial plugins. Trustie Pro adds support for additional sources beyond those, including Trustpilot syndication if you’re collecting reviews there.
