Results appearance

A feature

Plain list or cards, and how loud the breadcrumb should be. Two choices that make the results page look like it belongs on your site.

A results page that looks like it came from a different website is a results page visitors do not trust. Fetchie keeps the choices small and the defaults sensible, so it looks right without a styling project.

Layout

Plain is a clean list. Title, breadcrumb, snippet, nothing else competing for attention. It suits content sites and documentation, where the visitor is reading and scanning.

Cards gives each result its own surface with a border and a little breathing room. It suits stores and image-led sites, where results sit next to each other and need separating.

Breadcrumbs

Each result shows where the page sits on your site. How prominent that is depends on how much your site structure helps a visitor decide.

Normal, bold or italic. On a deep site with meaningful hierarchy, bold makes the path part of the answer: a visitor can tell "Support / Shipping / International" is the section they want before reading the snippet. On a flat site, italic keeps it out of the way.

How many per page

Set the number of results per page to suit the layout. Cards take more room than plain rows, and a long scroll of them is worse than pagination.

Colours and type

There is no separate colour picker here, on purpose. The results page reads its colours, fonts, corner radius and shadows from your Brand Hub settings, the same ones every other Tracksies surface uses.

Set your brand once and search matches it, along with everything else. Change it later and search follows without anyone editing a second set of options.
