Print-ready files appear right on the packing card. No tab-hopping into the order edit screen to find them.

If you sell customised products through PitchPrint (printed apparel, signage, photo books, anything where the customer designs the artwork themselves), the packing flow is a little different. Standard products you just pick and pack. Customised products, you also need to grab the print-ready file the customer designed, send it to your printer, and pack the result.

The PitchPrint integration cuts that loop down to one click on the packing card.

What the integration does

When you turn it on in Integrations settings (it’s off by default), packing cards for orders with PitchPrint products show:

  • A preview thumbnail of the customer’s design, right on the card.
  • Download links for the print-ready files: PDF, PNG, TIFF, whatever PitchPrint generated. URLs route through the correct PitchPrint distiller (custom or standard) so the file your printer needs is the file you click.
  • A clean meta panel on order line items in admin. The raw pitchprint_customization JSON that PitchPrint normally leaves on each line item is replaced with a tidy file list. No more 500-character JSON strings cluttering the order.

The integration uses the PitchPrint plugin’s existing API credentials (ppa_api_key and ppa_secret_key in WordPress options) so there’s no separate setup. If PitchPrint is configured for the merchant’s site, Packsie can talk to it.

Off by default

Most shops don’t sell PitchPrint products. The integration stays dormant until you tick it on in Settings > Integrations. Stores without PitchPrint don’t see anything change.

How it pairs with PitchPrint

The integration is a bridge, not a replacement. PitchPrint stays in charge of the customer-facing design tool and the file generation; Packsie surfaces the right link in the right place at packing time. Your PitchPrint setup, your print profiles, and your existing PitchPrint plugin all keep working unchanged. Packsie just hooks into them.

Why shops turn it on

If you process customised orders through PitchPrint, the difference adds up. Each order saves you a hop into the order edit screen, a scroll through line items, and a hunt for the right file URL. Across dozens of orders a day, that’s real time. The “preview on the card” part also catches the obvious “wait, that’s not the design they actually wanted” moments before the file goes to print.
