This comparison is a bit different from the others in this series. Senja and Trustie aren’t direct competitors in the traditional sense. Senja is a testimonial collection platform: video-first, built for creators, agencies, and SaaS businesses, with beautiful “Wall of Love” displays. Trustie is a WooCommerce reviews plugin that also handles testimonials, built as the entry point to the Tracksies suite.
They overlap in the testimonial space. They diverge everywhere else. And if you’re a WooCommerce store owner trying to decide between them (or wondering if you need both), this article will help you figure that out.
We make Trustie. We’re biased. We also think Senja has built something genuinely good for its target use case, and we’ll be clear about where it excels.

Two different tools. Let’s talk about when each one makes sense.
Where Senja Does Well
Senja has carved out a clear niche and it’s done it thoughtfully.
Video testimonial capture is the standout. This is Senja’s core, and it’s well-executed. Customers record video testimonials through a simple form, Senja auto-transcribes them, and the AI Magic Video Maker can turn raw footage into polished social proof clips. For businesses where the person behind the testimonial matters as much as the words (coaching, consulting, agencies, SaaS), video carries a weight that text and star ratings can’t match.
Importing from 30+ platforms is genuinely impressive. If you’ve got reviews scattered across Google Business Profile, Trustpilot, G2, Capterra, the Chrome Web Store, and a dozen other places, Senja can pull them all into one dashboard. Google Business Profile even auto-syncs on paid plans. For businesses consolidating social proof from multiple sources, that import breadth is a real time-saver.
The exit strategy is refreshingly honest. Senja explicitly documents data export as a feature, not a grudging concession. Text testimonials export to CSV; video testimonials download in SD or HD. They even offer a free done-for-you migration service for inbound users. That’s a confidence move, and it deserves credit.
Wall of Love is a polished display format. The grid-style testimonial showcase looks good, loads well (for most users), and serves as a conversion tool on landing pages. It’s become something of a category standard for SaaS and creator businesses.
Pricing is straightforward. Flat per-workspace tiers starting at USD$19/month (USD$16 billed annually). No order-volume scaling, no per-testimonial charges above the free tier. For what it does, the pricing is fair and transparent.
The Category Question
Here’s the thing this comparison comes down to: Senja is a testimonial platform. Trustie is a reviews plugin that also does testimonials.
Senja doesn’t integrate with WooCommerce. There’s no order-triggered review request. No per-product star ratings. No schema markup tying reviews to specific products for SEO. No verified purchase badges. No integration with your fulfilment workflow or customer intelligence stack. The official guide for adding Senja to WooCommerce is pasting embed code into a Custom HTML block. That works, technically, but it’s not integration.
The Senja WordPress plugin adds block and shortcode support for embedding widgets, which is cleaner than raw HTML. But it hasn’t been updated since April 2024, WordPress.org displays the “not tested with the latest 3 major releases” warning, and it has 100+ active installs with zero reviews. The SaaS product itself ships regular updates; the WordPress plugin is clearly not the priority.
For a SaaS business, a coaching practice, or a creator selling digital products, none of that matters. You don’t need per-product ratings or WooCommerce order triggers. You need a testimonial wall on your landing page and a way to collect video social proof. Senja does that brilliantly.
For a WooCommerce store selling products (or products and services), you need both: product reviews with schema markup on your product pages, and testimonials for your brand story. That’s what Trustie is built for.
How Trustie Handles Testimonials
Trustie isn’t just a product reviews plugin. It handles testimonials as a distinct, purpose-built feature alongside product reviews. Same plugin, same Designer styling, same suite integration.
Product reviews live on your product pages with star ratings, schema markup, verified purchase badges, and all the review infrastructure WooCommerce stores need for conversion and SEO. Testimonials live wherever you want them: a dedicated page, your homepage, a landing page, a services section. Both review types are managed from the same interface, styled through the same Designer (your theme’s fonts auto-detected; colours assigned by you for hierarchy and accessibility; --tracksies-* CSS custom properties flowing suite-wide), and stored in your WordPress database.
If you sell services alongside products, or if your brand story benefits from customer testimonials beyond per-product ratings, you don’t need two separate tools. You don’t need a SaaS testimonial platform embedded via HTML alongside a WordPress reviews plugin. One plugin handles both, styled consistently, with your data in one place.
What Trustie Doesn’t Do
AI video transcription and the Magic Video Maker. Senja’s video testimonial workflow (record, auto-transcribe, generate polished clips) is a genuine product innovation. Trustie Pro supports video reviews, but it doesn’t auto-transcribe or generate social-proof video reels from raw footage. If AI-powered video testimonial production is central to your marketing, Senja is purpose-built for that.
30+ platform imports. Senja imports from Google Business Profile, Trustpilot, G2, Capterra, and dozens more. Trustie imports via CSV, which covers migration from other WooCommerce plugins, but it doesn’t have native connectors pulling reviews from external review platforms. If you need to consolidate social proof from many external sources into one display, Senja’s import breadth is unmatched.
Wall of Love as a first-class display surface. Senja’s grid-style testimonial wall is polished and popular. Trustie displays testimonials and reviews through its own layouts, but it doesn’t have an equivalent “wall of love” widget format.
Who Should Choose What
Senja is a great fit if:
- You’re a SaaS business, creator, coach, or agency (not running a WooCommerce product store)
- Video testimonials with AI transcription are central to your social proof strategy
- You need to consolidate reviews from 30+ external platforms into one display
- Wall of Love style testimonial showcases are your primary use case
- You don’t need per-product ratings, schema markup, or WooCommerce integration
Trustie is a better fit if:
- You run a WooCommerce store and need product reviews with schema markup, verified purchase badges, and order-triggered requests
- You sell services as well as products and want testimonials alongside product reviews in one plugin
- You want your social proof data on your server, in your database
- Styling consistency across your entire store matters (the Designer handles both review types)
- You want reviews feeding into customer intelligence, loyalty, and fulfilment via the Tracksies suite
- Performance at the sub-10KB level matters to your Core Web Vitals
- You’d rather not maintain a separate SaaS subscription for testimonials alongside a separate plugin for reviews
Use both if:
- You run a WooCommerce store (Trustie for product reviews + on-site testimonials) AND you need AI video testimonial production or 30+ platform imports for a landing page or marketing site (Senja for that specific surface). There’s no conflict; they serve different purposes.
Go Have a Look
Trustie Free on WordPress.org — product reviews and testimonials in one WooCommerce-native plugin. No credit card, no email gate. For the full suite, docs.tracksies.com has everything.
Senja.io — excellent video testimonial platform, especially strong for SaaS, creators, and agencies. Free tier available (15 testimonials). Worth evaluating if video social proof is your primary need.
If your store needs product reviews, Senja isn’t the right tool for that (and it doesn’t claim to be). If your store needs testimonials and you’re already using Trustie, you might not need Senja at all. If you need AI video production and multi-platform imports on top of what Trustie does, they complement each other well. Your call.
