Revenue is not profit

A feature

What you kept, not just what came in.

WooCommerce will tell you precisely what came in. Gross, net, discounts, tax, shipping, returns, all defined and all correct.

What it won’t tell you is what you kept.

Squizzie reports profit and margin, product by product and over time, so the products that earn are visible rather than assumed.

Where the costs come from

Squizzie reads your cost of goods from wherever you already record it: WooCommerce’s own cost-of-goods support if you’re running a version that has it, or one of the common cost-of-goods plugins if you’re not.

It reads your costs. It doesn’t invent them, and if nothing in your shop records a cost then no tool can show you a margin.

Why the two league tables differ

For a shop where some products earn four times what others do, the revenue ranking and the profit ranking are different lists.

The revenue one is the one most shops look at, and it’s the one that can point you at the wrong hero product. Stocking more of your best seller is a good idea only if your best seller is making you money.
