Did you know setting up a plugin could be fun!?
And fast, so you can get back to doing everything else with fewer screen-cursing forehead wrinkles than you anticipated.
DONESIES!
Your stack, sorted.
We test every release against the builders below. If it works with WordPress, it works with Trustie… but it works especially well with these.
If you’re building something bespoke, you can place things manually as every component is a shortcode too. Testimonials on a landing page, Google reviews in the footer, a floating widget everywhere except checkout. Drop them wherever.
What your customers and visitors see
Reviews that show what your customers actually mean.
A star rating tells you they were happy. A review tile tells you why, and with Trustie’s custom form fields, it shows exactly what they experienced.
Fit, texture, scent, quality, colour… all the small details that take a product from alright to AMAZE AMAZE.
In your brand fonts and colours, obvs.
Social proof that follows your visitors without getting in the way.
The floating Reviews widget sits on the edge of your page, ready when a visitor wants it, out of the way when they don’t. Open it and they see the full picture: aggregate score across all reviews with products, testimonials, and store reviews combined and tabs to filter by type. You control where it appears: every page, product pages only, selected pages, or everywhere except the ones you choose.
Display testimonials exactly where they need to be.
Grid or slider, your choice! Drop the shortcode anywhere you need… Homepage, dedicated testimonials page, landing page, sales page. That’s right Trustie does testimonials, too!
Already collecting testimonials in a custom post type from your theme or another plugin? Trustie maps to it so nothing you’ve built gets left behind. Service businesses, we got you.

Collect testimonials and send them to Google while you're at it.
A simple, customisable form on any page: name, company, role, rating, testimonial, photo, consent checkbox. Shortcode it anywhere. When Google Business is connected, Trustie adds a button so your customer can copy what they just wrote and paste it straight into your Google Business profile. The best person to ask for a Google review is someone who just finished writing a glowing testimonial. Trustie makes that ask automatic.
One page. Every voice. All the proof.
Your dedicated Reviews page is auto-generated, always up to date, properly indexed by Google. Aggregate score and star distribution at the top, and review types displayed in a tabbed page. Verified badges show who actually bought. Product thumbnails give context. The one-stars are there too (if you choose), because a store confident enough to show its full picture is a store worth trusting. Your customers can find it, bookmark it, and share it. Google can index every word of it.
Drop the link in your menu, or land there from the “More Reviews” button in the flyout widget.
And what's under the hood?
Your brand, set once, applied everywhere.
Most plugins give you a colour picker (maybe) and call it customisation, but Trustie’s Designer is a full brand control panel living in your WordPress admin. It finds the colours already in your theme and page builder, so you can copy click and paste into the right slots.
Every review widget, every email, every testimonial display pulls from the same settings because we know brand consistency develops trust.
The live preview on the right shows your actual widgets updating each time you save. No save backend/check frontend/go backend save again/check again, no surprises, no rogue greens.
Ask at the right time. Stop at the right time.
Timing a review request is so important. Too early and the product hasn’t arrived. Too late and the moment’s gone. Too many emails and you’ve become the thing people unsubscribe from. Trustie’s review request system gives you a sequence of up to four emails with timing you set yourself and individual on/off toggles for each step.
The live preview shows your branded email exactly as your customer will see it, updating from the Designer settings you’ve already saved. Your queue sits right in your WordPress dashboard. And when it’s time to stop, because a customer has already left a review, clicked unsubscribe, or initiated a return or refund: Trustie stops automatically. Just the right ask, at the right time, to the right people.
Your review queue, right where you're already working.
You’re in WordPress processing orders and you realise a customer’s had a rough experience… so let’s make sure we don’t annoy them more than necessary and cancel that request and reach out personally instead, shall we? Oh, an order arrived early and the customer’s already raving? Send now!
The queue is right there: order number, customer, sequence step, scheduled timing, Send Now, Cancel. Every call you need to make, made from the same place you’re already working. And because your site sends the emails through your own SMTP, they go out from your domain, signed by your DNS records, logged in your sending provider. Better deliverability, better inbox placement, and a sending history that belongs to you and not a third-party platform’s shared sending domain.
Ask better questions. Get more useful answers. Sleep better if you sell health-related stuff.
Trustie Pro’s custom form builder lets you build review forms with the fields that actually matter for your products: like scale ratings with custom labels, yes/no recommendations, short text, long text, dropdowns, multiple choice, photo upload. Drag, drop, done.
You can assign different forms to different product categories so your skincare reviews ask different questions to your homewares reviews.
If you sell regulated products such as supplements, skincare, anything where a customer writing “cured my pain” in a review could create real problems… there’s a checkbox for that. Tick “This is a regulated product” and Trustie adds a guidance tile to the form, showing reviewers examples of what’s appropriate and what isn’t, before they write a word. Every review on that form goes to manual moderation. Reduce compliance headaches from a review you didn’t catch in time.
Moderate with confidence.
Approve, reject, filter by rating, bulk action, or search by keyword: your entire review history in one place, on your site. Auto-publish if you trust your customers, or hold everything for review if your products need it. And when a difficult review comes in — and one will — Pro lets you reply publicly. A thoughtful response to a one-star review can build more trust than ten five-stars.
Customers reading your replies see how you handle problems, not just how things go when everything works perfectly. Hiding the less favourable ones isn’t the answer. Handling them well is.
Bring your reviews with you.
Years of social proof don’t disappear when you switch. Trustie’s importer handles CSV exports from Yotpo, Stamped, Judge.me, CusRev, and more: auto-detecting the column format so you’re not manually mapping fields. Already on CusRev? Your reviews are stored in WooCommerce’s native format, so the WooCommerce Native Reviews option picks them up directly. No export needed. Four steps, and everything you’ve built comes with you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do reviews matter, and how does Trustie help?
Reviews are the most honest conversation happening on your website. A stranger telling another stranger what actually happened in their own words, with nothing to sell.
That’s why Trustie takes them seriously. Every review request email, every filter, every custom form field, every moderation tool… it’s all in service of one thing: making it easy for your happy customers to speak, and easy for the next person to listen.
The research backs it up across every angle:
- People read them. 98% of consumers read online reviews at least occasionally (BrightLocal, 2024). Reviews have overtaken price as the most important purchasing factor, with 94% of shoppers naming them the top consideration (PowerReviews, data from 1,200+ ecommerce sites).
- They convert. Even going from zero reviews to one increases conversion by 52% (PowerReviews, 2022). And when shoppers can see photos from real customers? 60% would rather buy a product with 10 photo reviews than one with 200 text-only reviews (Bazaarvoice consumer survey, 2023).
- They make you findable. Pages that show as rich results in Google search — the ones with star ratings visible in the listing — see 82% higher click-through rates (Nestlé case study, published on Google Search Central). Every review is also fresh, indexed content written in the real words real people search for.
- Responding matters as much as collecting. 88% of consumers prefer businesses that respond to all their reviews (BrightLocal, 2024). A thoughtful reply to a difficult review builds more trust than silence ever could. (Trustie agrees.)
The details matter too. Nielsen Norman Group’s ecommerce research across 350+ sites found that shoppers actively seek out negative reviews first — they want to see “what’s the worst this product might be.” They rely on review summaries and filters, and they make better purchasing decisions when they can see reviewer details like size, skin type, or how the product was used. Simply providing reviews isn’t enough. The display, the filtering, the demographic context — that’s what turns a review section into a buying tool.
Every one of those findings shaped how Trustie was built. The aggregate score. The star distribution. The filter by rating. The custom form fields. The dedicated reviews page. The owner response system. None of it is decorative; it’s all doing a specific job, because Trustie doesn’t do things for the sake of them.
Do I need Trustie Pro or Trustie Free?
Trustie Free is built to be a whole solution for reviews, but you might need more.
- You want to respond to reviews publicly. Trustie Pro lets you reply to reviews publicly — so every future buyer can see how you handle feedback, not just how things go when everything works perfectly.
- You sell regulated products. Trustie Pro’s regulated products mode adds a guidance tile to your review form, keyword flagging, and forced manual moderation. Talk to your lawyer about what applies in your situation — Trustie gives you the tools to handle it properly.
- You want photo reviews. Customers upload photos, you get a media moderation queue, your product pages become a genuine showcase of your products in real use. Bazaarvoice found that 60% of shoppers would rather buy a product with 10 photo reviews than one with 200 text-only reviews (2023). Photos do more work than words.
- You want Q&A on product pages. Answer a question once, publicly, and every buyer who comes after gets the benefit. PowerReviews found Q&A drives a 177% lift in conversion — the highest of any UGC type on product pages (2023, data from 1,200+ sites). Pre-purchase questions answered on the page keep people shopping instead of leaving.
- You’re migrating from another platform. Trustie’s importer handles CSV exports from Yotpo, Stamped, Judge.me, CusRev, and more — auto-detecting column formats. Already on CusRev? Your reviews are in WooCommerce’s native format, so the WooCommerce Native Reviews option picks them up directly. No export needed. Four steps and everything comes with you.
- You want custom forms per product category. Trustie Pro’s drag-and-drop form builder lets you assign different review forms to different product categories. Your skincare reviews ask different questions to your homewares reviews.
- You’re paying for a separate testimonials tool. If you’re on Senja, Testimonial.to, Boast or similar at $20–60 USD a month, Trustie Free handles the same job — standalone testimonials, video support, branded collection forms, a dedicated showcase page, schema markup — all on your own server. If you also want to display more than 5 Google reviews at a time alongside your testimonials, that’s the Pro upgrade (via the Google Business Profile API, no cap). Otherwise: free plugin, zero monthly fees, done.
What does Trustie Pro add over Trustie Free?
Trustie Pro builds on Trustie Free with photo reviews, a custom form builder, Q&A on products, review titles, helpful voting, site and store reviews, multi-step email sequences with conditional follow-ups, advanced moderation with batch actions, masonry layouts, and a Google Merchant feed. It also adds direct import from Judge.me, Yotpo, and Stamped with a bulk import wizard. All your Free settings, reviews, and testimonials carry over unchanged when you upgrade.
Is Trustie Pro self-hosted?
Yes. Every review, every testimonial, every photo upload is stored in your WordPress database and your uploads folder. No external servers, no API calls to our infrastructure, no data leaving your site. If you deactivate Trustie Pro, your reviews stay exactly where they are. You just lose access to the Pro features until you reactivate.
Ummmmm.. what does self-hosted mean?
Great question. It’s a phrase that gets thrown around a lot.
Self-hosted means the software runs on your server, and your data lives in your database. Not ours. Not anyone else’s.Here’s the difference in plain terms:
SaaS (software as a service) is like renting a flat. Someone else owns the building. You pay them monthly. They decide the rules, when to renovate, when to raise the rent. If they sell the building or shut it down, you’ve got to move and sometimes they won’t let you take your furniture.
Most review plugins, customer intelligence tools, and loyalty platforms work this way. You sign up, your data lives on their servers, and you pay a monthly fee that usually increases as your business grows. If you stop paying, you lose access. If they get acquired, change their pricing, or sunset a feature, you’re at their mercy.
Self-hosted is like owning your house. You chose the land (your hosting). You own the building (your WordPress site). The software is something you install, like a bookshelf. Once it’s in, it’s yours. You can rearrange it, paint it, extend it, or remove it entirely. And everything in it belongs to you.
When you install a Tracksie, it adds tables to your WordPress database and runs on your server alongside the rest of your site. Your reviews, your customers, your orders, your testimonials; all of it lives in your database. We literally cannot see it. There’s no cloud dashboard we log into. No central server that holds a copy. Just your WordPress installation, doing its thing, with some new helpers inside.
Why it matters:
- Your data doesn’t go anywhere you didn’t put it
- Your costs don’t scale with your success
- You can’t be locked out, priced out, or acquired out
- If you ever want to leave, you uninstall the plugin and
- everything stays right where it is
- No third-party servers between you and your customer
- You chose WordPress for a reason and this honours that choice
The tradeoff:
Self-hosted means you’re responsible for your hosting, updates, and backups. That’s more work than SaaS, where someone else handles all that. But if you’re already running WordPress, you’re already doing this. Adding Tracksies doesn’t change your workload; it just means your customer intelligence and loyalty tools live in the same place as the rest of your site, instead of being scattered across a dozen monthly subscriptions.Self-hosted is the whole point of WordPress. Tracksies is just keeping that promise all the way through.
Can I customise how reviews and testimonials look?
Yes: Trustie Pro includes the full visual Designer (Trustie > Designer) where you can customise brand colours, star colours, border radius, shadow styles, widget appearance, email header and footer colours, and more. The Designer automatically detects colours and fonts from your active theme on first setup, so Trustie can your brand with very little manual configuration. Every style change outputs as CSS custom properties, so you can override anything in your child theme or page builder’s custom CSS without touching plugin code.
What shortcodes does Trustie Pro add?
Trustie Pro extends the Free shortcode library with additional display options. You get the full set:
[trustie_reviews] — product reviews with optional photos, titles, Q&A, and voting
[trustie_all_reviews] — reviews from all products in a grid, list, or masonry layout
[trustie_reviews_page] — complete reviews page with tabs, filtering, and pagination
[trustie_review_form] — standalone review submission form with custom fields
[trustie_rating] — average star rating for a product
[trustie_rating_badge] — compact rating badge for product archives
[trustie_loop_stars] — lightweight stars for product loops
[trustie_testimonials] — testimonials in grid, list, masonry, or slider layouts
[trustie_testimonial_form] — customer testimonial submission form
[trustie_testimonial_slider] — auto-advancing testimonial carousel
[trustie_google_reviews] — Google Business reviews with aggregate rating
[trustie_qa] — Q&A display and submission for a product
[trustie_store_reviews] — site or store reviews (not product-specific)Every shortcode accepts attributes for customisation — layout, number of reviews, minimum rating, sort order, show or hide specific elements. See the full shortcode reference in the docs.
Can I use Trustie Pro with my page builder?
Yes. Every display element is available as a shortcode, which drops cleanly into Elementor, Bricks, Divi, Beaver Builder, Oxygen, or any other builder. The Brand Hub Designer reads your theme’s colour palette and typography on first setup, so it feels native to your build. All styling outputs as CSS custom properties (–trustie-* variables) which you can override in your builder’s custom CSS.
Can I customise the review submission form?
Yes. Trustie Pro includes a custom form builder where you can add fields (text, textarea, select, radio, checkbox, file upload), set them as required or optional, add placeholders and help text, and control the form layout. You can create different forms for different product categories if needed.
How do photo reviews work?
When enabled, customers can attach one or more photos to their review submission. Photos are stored in your WordPress uploads folder (not on our servers), automatically resized and optimised for display, and shown in a keyboard-navigable lightbox. You can set maximum file size, allowed file types, and maximum number of photos per review. Photos appear in review cards, the masonry layout, and the floating widget.
Can I import reviews from Judge.me, Yotpo, or Stamped?
Yes. Trustie Pro includes a bulk import wizard with field mapping for Judge.me, Yotpo, and Stamped exports. Upload the CSV, match the columns to Trustie’s fields (rating, title, content, author, date, photos), and the wizard imports everything — including photos and reply threads. Your original reviews stay intact on the source platform if you want to keep them as a backup.
Does Trustie Pro support multi-step email sequences?
Yes. Where Trustie Free sends a single review request email, Trustie Pro lets you build sequences. For example, an initial request 7 days after delivery, a gentle follow-up 7 days later if no review is left, and a final nudge 14 days after that. Each email in the sequence has its own template, timing, and conditions. Emails use your Brand Hub styling automatically.
Does Trustie Pro help with SEO?
Yes. All reviews, testimonials, Q&A, and Google Reviews output JSON-LD schema markup: Product reviews use Product and Review schema, testimonials use Review schema, Google Reviews use LocalBusiness with AggregateRating, and Q&A uses QAPage schema. Photo reviews include ImageObject schema. This helps search engines display rich results with star ratings and review counts in search listings.
Can I moderate reviews before they go live?
es. Trustie Pro adds an advanced moderation dashboard with batch approve and reject, filtering by rating, date, or product, and search across review content. You can set an auto-approve threshold (reviews at or above X stars publish automatically) while routing lower ratings to manual moderation. Q&A has its own moderation queue.
Is Trustie Pro accessible?
Trustie Pro is built with accessibility in mind, such as keyboard navigation throughout, visible focus indicators, screen reader announcements for form submissions and dynamic content loading, descriptive aria-labels on all interactive controls, and keyboard-accessible photo lightbox navigation. We test against WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines and actively work to improve with every update. If you find something we’ve missed, please let us know.
What happens if I cancel Trustie Pro?
Your reviews, testimonials, photos, and settings stay exactly where they are… in your WordPress database. You stop receiving updates and support for Pro features, and the Pro-specific features (photo reviews, Q&A, sequences, imports, advanced moderation) become unavailable until you reactivate. Everything gracefully falls back to Trustie Free. No data is deleted. No reviews disappear.
Is Trustie Pro part of the Tracksies suite?
Yes. Trustie Pro is part of the Tracksies plugin family. It works beautifully on its own, but it really shines when paired with Tracksies HQ (customer intelligence and order management), Perkie (loyalty and rewards), Squizzie (analytics and reporting), and the rest of the Tracksies family. Reviews become a data source that informs customer tags, loyalty tiers, and business intelligence. Each Tracksie works better because the others exist.
How much does Trustie Pro cost?
Trustie Pro is A$99/year for a single site, with a 20% loyalty discount on renewals (A$79/year). Flat pricing. No per-review fees. No per-order fees. No usage caps.
Where is my data stored?
In your WordPress database. On your server. Every review, every testimonial, every photo, every Q&A thread, every email template: all stored in your WordPress installation, under your control. We can’t see it. We don’t have access to it. If you leave Tracksies, your data stays with you. That’s the whole point.
Do you offer discounts on Trustie Pro?
No, we don’t do bundles or sales. But you do get a discount of 20% on renewals to say thanks for sticking with us.
Prices may go up in future, so grab Trustie now for the best price.
